Createful Hearts Designs Blog Challenge-September 15-October 13 2018

Hello All!

Here is my blog entry for Createful Heats Design. The theme was Fall and I used their Pumpkin Patch Kitty. I also used a new technique in "coloring" the image. I used three different colors of in on an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of card-stock and then ran it through our printer. I did have to "touch up" a few places where the sketching was lighter but all in all I am pleased with the results!

You do have to watch the colors you choose they can not be to dark or you can not be to heavy handed.

My grand daughter will love this as her Fall card!

What's Been Happening!

Hello All!

I will start this blog with my DT card for this last months Createful Heart Designs Face Book Challenge ending tomorrow! Better late than never! LOL!

I used the flag image since we have had several patriotic holidays. It is in honor of all who have served our country.

I love anything patriotic! This has to be one of my favorite images so far.

This is what I call a fun fold card. I used only the papers to make this card. I can recreate this using different papers. No stamping or coloring. it is $2.50 plus shipping if not being hand delivered!

This is a cute kids birthday card and I have these in different colors. (Purple, Blue, Yellow, Green) These cards are a $1.00 plus shipping if not being hand delivered!

This is a great wedding card or anniversary card. It is hand colored using an image from Createful Hearts Designs. This card is $3.00 plus shipping if not being hand delivered!

This is a cute "thinking of you card". It is hand stamped and colored. This card is $1.00 plus shipping if not being hand delivered!

This is a basic Christmas card. I have one in red as well. These are hand stamped. I can recreate these using different colors. These cards are $1.00 plus shipping if not being hand delivered!

I have plenty more but this will get us started!  I am also taking orders for Christmas cards now and they will be delivered/mailed the middle of November.

Changes are a Brewing - Part 2

Happy Day to All!

I believe we have everything in place to start the changes!

We have our new FB page up and running and will be posting these blog posts there as well! I also will be posting some cards for sale over the next few days! 

We are working hard on getting cards up and taking special orders for all of you so bear with us as we create the special order forms. 

For now we will take special orders in the comments here and on our FB page. 

Coming in the near future we will also have some 3D items as well as mini albums and Scrapbook pages. You may special order any of the items as well. 

Another exciting thing that will be happening is YouTube tutorials/videos! I will be working on that branch of our new business and getting it up and running as well. 

We are so excited about this new phase of our journey and glad you are coming along with us!

I will start posting cards over the next for days. The postings will include the size and price of each card as well as if the card can be duplicated. I will also have some $1.00 cards and a couple sets.

Changes are a brewing!

Happy June 1st Everyone!

I are so sorry for the lag in updating my blog. I have been busy with so many things going on! 

We have permanently moved in to our travel trailer and have been at our Summer residence since March 1st. We have had a few ups and downs learning our new life...yesterday we had a storm roll through and lost our awning and our soft spot inside the trailer is worse so this week we will be getting work done on the floor and a new awning! Not exactly what we wanted to do with funds this month!

My friend Beth and I have been making 70+ albums for her upcoming family reunion. We started around the end of March and we are only half way done so we are feeling the pressure!!! Below are some pictures of the first album we put completely together. I will post a few in between as well. (Pictures do not show how beautiful they really are)

We have 30 done and 40 more to go! In between all the albums I have had two birthday party kits to do. One Spiderman (I forgot to take pictures!),one Pokemon and getting ready for VBS. Below is the picture of the Pokemon invitation. I will be working on his banner, cupcake toppers, and thank you cards this week!

I also found time to make two cards for two different challenges. One for Createful Hearts (below):

I will be selling my cards, birthday packages, invitations, etc. here on my blog and my new FB page. Right now until I get through June with all the albums and VBS (I will post those pictures later this weekend!) I will take special orders. I saved the best for last. You may have noticed that the name of my blog has change to "In His Grace Paper Crafts". This will be the new name of my business beginning today. FB won't let me change the name on my "Papercrafting with Mimi" page so over the next couple of weeks I will be working on a new FB page. I will we posting on both FB pages for six months so it will give you all time to join the new page AND remember when we reach 100 members there will be a give away!!!

Well I better get off here and get to work! Beth sent me home with homework! I think I will charge her double time since it is the weekend! LOL!

Last Post and the most Exciting (for me) Post! #4

I am so excited my Fellow Stampin' Peeps!

I am going to start selling my specialty cards and items through my blog and FaceBook page! I have said I was going to do this for a long time but didn't have the confidence in my self. With my hunny, daughters, and some close friends encouraging me I am now ready!

These will be specialty cards and I will only make four of each unless I have an order for more. I will also do some 3D projects and I have a new product that I will be doing as well. 

I have some cards ready to put up but I am going to "showcase" my new event project first. 

Birthday party packs! In this pack you will get; 12 Invitations, 20 Thank You Cards, 12 Goodie Bags, 25-35 Cupcake toppers, and Happy Birthday (persons name) banner. This set was made for my youngest grand daughter and she choose "Frozen". I have and order for Spiderman and Ninja Turtles that will be coming up soon. These sets will sell for $60.00. If you need more of any items the price will be adjusted depending on what you need. I can also do adult birthday's. I can also do any theme you choose.

I will post some of my specialty cards this weekend. They will run $2.50-$7.00. I need to get pictures of them. Some of the other items I have done in the past are wedding invitations, bookmarks, candy holders, Christmas cards, note cards...really pretty much anything made with paper I can do!

Well I have filled your head with lots of stuff with 4 different blog posts. I was behind and I knew I wanted to tell you this today!!!

Createful Hearts Digi's and Design-TWO Challenges!

Hello Again my Stampin' Peeps!

As some of you know I am on the DT for Createful Hearts Digi's and Designs and in February we started shaking things up a little. We now have a monthly challenge on our FB page that runs from the 15th to the 13th (February 15th to March 13th). We give you a sketch and one of  Mary's Digi's. You have a month to place your card in the album for the challenge and then we use random.org to choose a winner who wins one of Mary's Digi's of their choice! I posted earlier in the month the card I made for that one but here it is again! LOL!

This Digi is called "Up Up and Away" I think it is really cute and I really enjoyed coloring it! The FB page is Createful Heart Digi's & Design

Createful Hearts Digi's and Design's also has a monthly blog challenge running right now from the 1st to the last day of each month. I used one of Mary's new/old Digi's that I fell in love with. It is called "Easter Cross". Our challenge on the blog is anything goes with a little twist. March we had to use green...I think I did it! LOL! Our new FB challenge starts tomorrow 3/15 and is using "Old Fashion Rose" and a sketch that will be on our FB page beginning tomorrow come out and join in! We have a blog challenge going on until March 31. Anything goes with a shamrock or a touch of green!

Outlawz Birthday Challenge!

Good Morning Fellow Stampin' Peeps!!

I decided to try a challenge on a different blog. Since I have several friends in the Outlawz and they have a challenge for each day I decided to try that one first!

They were having a Birthday Celebration Challenge using a Digi form SheepskiDesigns-Andrea Norris. They had games, which I did not know until it was almost over but I did step out of my box and at least colored the Digi and enter it! New Facebook-Createful Heart Digi & Designs Challenge!

Good Rainy, Windy (Very Windy) Morning!

I am so ready for Spring! I love Winter but it has become so rough on both my hunny and I. However we are here for another year or two during the Fall/Winter/some Spring then we will become Snow Birds! Not sure where, when, or what that will look like but God does!

Now onto business:

Createful Heart Digi & Designs has started a new Challenge! The Blog Challenge will go from twice a month to once a month still anything goes with a twist here and there! This challenge will go from the first of each month to the end of the month (IE: March 1st-March 31st).

The new challenge is on our Facebook page!! We will give you an image and a card sketch to follow and you will have a month to complete and post. We will pick one winner using random.org and they will win a free Digi of their choice from Mary Smith! During the month Mary will have some of her Digi's discounted for you to purchase if you choose to do so. This challenge will go from the 15th of each month to the 13th of the next month (IE: February 15th-March 13th).

The image is "Up, Up, and Away" the artist is Mary Smith. I am now working on my entry for the Blog Challenge on March 1st. I am using one of Mary's new sketches and I am not telling anyone which one yet! LOL!

Creatful Heart Challenge Blog 1/30/18

Good Saturday Morning!

I wanted to take a minute and show you the card I made for our next Creatful Heart Challenge Blog!

There is one challenge still going on until January 30 so you have time to get into this one! The new one begins February 1.

The three top winners get a Digi stamp from Mary Smith the artist of all the Digi's for Creatful Heart Cards and Digi's! It is a lot of fun and you get to meet new colorist from around the world.

I use Prismacolor Premier pencils. They are soft core and the colors are bright and beautiful! The Digi I choose this month is called "Girls Sharing a Secret". I choose it because it reminded me of my girls growing up. They still share with each other but on Face Time! LOL! In addition this month we have to have a heart somewhere on our card. I used Illustrated Faith paper and my sentiment is "Love you for Owl-ways"

Next month our "add" is lace! I better get my daughter to send me my lace from Maryland! (Some of my things are still with her).

I am headed to my Digi folder to print some Digi's to start coloring. All my pencils that I have been missing to finish my Kit and Clowder classes will be here next week! I can't wait!

Remember to join in on the challenge that ends on January 30 and then the new one beginning on February 1!

God's Glory

Good Winter Morning,

As I look out our dining room window I realize the beautiful picture God has painted for us...almost like a promise. A promise that He love us, A promise that He's got this, A promise that this is not our eternal home, A promise that it won't be winter forever, and a promise we can fight any battle that is thrown our way.

For those of you who don't live in the southern part of Indian it is a beautiful clear day with blue skies and those almost transparent clouds here and there...snow on the ground that is glistening with diamonds. You can see icicles forming right before your eyes as well as some melting into water. The bare stark trees against the bright blue sky takes my breathe away. Watching Blue Jays and Woodpeckers vie for the tree they want their nests in.

I love days like this my favorite days of winter. I love to watch it snow too but afterwards you can really see God's beauty!

I really jumped on here to show some of the coloring I have been doing on these dreary days...I bring out my prisma's (colored pencils) and color away.

I have been taking monthly coloring classes through Kit and Clowder and am loving it! This image is from the December class (I am a little behind). I haven't finished it yet I am missing some of the colors Alyse uses. I have them on order and s/b here next week!

These next two are from Createful Heart Cards & Digi's for which I am on the Design team.  I need to submit a card the end of this month using one of the images...and I can't choose! Mary has two new ones I adore so maybe I will use one of them! I can be so wishy washy sometimes! No really Mary has some good ones to choose from!

Today I need to switch from coloring to making a mini album, note cards, birthday cards, and sympathy cards. I better get busy!

Happy New Year! I challenge you to look at your blessings instead of your "don't haves" although our loving God sometimes takes those "don't haves" and turns them into awesome blessings so watch out and hold on!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

I can't believe it has been two months since I have posted...I have be in a whirlwind of life. A lot has happened in those two month! I did find a lot of time to make cards and a few baskets and even some scrap-booking!

We are in the middle of transitioning from living in a home to living in a trailer. The cold is killing both of us and we have decided it is time to make the move. We are on our maiden voyage now. We traveled to Dallas to see my two youngest grand babies and have learned some important lessons about being RV owners! LOL! It has been an adventure! We have awesome friend who are fellow RV dwellers and have helped us figure most of it out and referred and awesome RV mechanic. When we get back to Indiana, hopefully Friday, he will be visiting us and fixing a couple of things and giving us some important information!

I have also been asked to be on the design team for Createful Heart Digi's & Cards! Thank you Miss Mary and Miss Jeanie! I am so excited and am loving the digi stamps and even some of the paper. It takes up a lot less room in the RV although I still have my SU, MayMay, etc. stamps. We have been very creative in our storage and have had to give up a lot of our items but it is just stuff...less for out kids to get rid of! LOL!

The following are just a few items I have made here and there...I made several more items and cards but forgot to take a picture of them! I will get better!

Ending on a joyous note...my Mom went to be with Jesus in November. It may sound odd that I say "ending on a joyous note" however I will see her again and I know where she is. She was so tired and the fighting was dragging her down I miss her so mush and many times have reached for a the phone to call her. My Brother, Sister and I all live in different states so trying to get everyone together was a daunting task. Our church in Indiana, Vienna Baptist Church, gave my Mom a beautiful memorial. It helped somewhat in my closure and was a very nice evening. Here are some pictures and scrap-book pictures of my Mom.

I think I have caught you all up on most everything for now! LOL! I am sure I will have more later...2017 was a horrible year...both of us were far from God which lead to us being far from each other. God has provided more than we could have ever expected Jim and I are so excited to see what 2018 has in store for us! More to come...
