Fall is finally here!

I love Fall!!!

The trees are so pretty right now...in a blink of an eye they will be bare but for now I enjoy all the colors.

We took a quick trip to TN a couple of weeks ago to visit my friend, Sarah, she started me on my papercrafting journey many moons ago! We stayed two night in Pigeon Forge on our way home and relaxed and enjoyed ourselves!

I have been busy getting ready for a craft fair coming up at our church on November 11th. Jim has been making some things as well so we both have been in our office/studio most days with a break in the afternoons to go to the pool at the YMCA!

I have also been working on challenges for both Scrapbooking With ME and Createful Heart Cards.

I was GD this month for Creatful Heart Cards (Digi Stamps) below was my entry:

Below are pictures of a SWME haul!!! I got another one but forgot to take a picture!

Below are pictures of a couple of projects I have going on right now as well as SWME challenges, Christmas cards, Craft Fair items, and Christmas gifts! Busy time of year for me in the papercrafting world!

I have my first box coming from Maryland this next week! Mostly my winter clothes AND some of my tools that I have missed so much! You don't know how much you use something until you don't have it!

I am encouraging you to jump into any or all of the challenges on SWME and/or Creatful Heart! They are fun and you get to meet a lot of cool crafter's from all over! Both their links are on the right side of my blog! Head on over and just do it!!!

Thank you for taking the time to read!

Blessings,
Mimi (Mimic)

Layouts, Cards, Baby and More

Hi to my Fellow Stampin' Peeps!

Today is my honey's birthday! We are now the same age for the next 25 days then I become the older woman again! LOL!

Fall is in the air. We went down to the river to do our Bible study yesterday after running some errands. They had a swing, which is my favorite, the breeze was cool, the sun was warm and the Word was good.

SWME had two challenges last weekend one was a scrapbook double page layout and one was something that had to do with apples. The layout had to be Fall and we had to use the sketch they gave us. Below are the two items I came up with. All the patterned paper came from SWME as well as some of the embellishments and everything else was from my stash!

I spent most of the week making card kits to take with me on a a quick trip in a couple of weeks to TN. I am going to spend some time with my friend who lives there. Jim is going to be in Paintsville, KY with his family and kids, then my honey and I are going to take a couple of days to disconnect from the world and reconnect with each other in Pigeon Forge, TN! LOL!

The most exciting thing that happened this week is the birth of my grandsom, Brecken Josiah, 9/28/17, 6 lbs 12 oz, 20". He had a little trouble breathing and was in the NICU for a few hours but he is doing GREAT now! This Mimi can't wait to meet him. I now have four grand children 3 girls and 1 boy and they all have my heart...I always heard that being a grand parent was better than being a parent...that is truth!!!

The next few weeks Jim and I will be preparing for a craft fair at out church. I love doing craft fair's but boy do you work hard up to it! LOL!

The Lord has blessed us in so many ways that we could never have fathomed. My quiver is full, our talents are glorifying, our needs are met, and even some of our wants are given to us.

I will share some of out items that are being made through the next few weeks. Thank you for reading...videos are coming soon (I know I keep saying that but we have been met with little blips) all in God's timing!

Blessings,
Mimi

Cards, Cards, and More Cards!

Hi my Fellow Paper-crafters!

This week has been for the "Cards"! LOL! I have a lot of cards to send out and to catch up on and I am doing it all without my beloved Art Glitter Glue and my ATG Tape Runner and Tape! They are still in Maryland! Hopefully they will be mailed in the next couple of weeks and most everything will be right with this paper-crafter! One of these days maybe all my things will be back home with me!

Remember my bird card? The one with the digi stamp from Creatful Hearts Digis & Designs? I entered it into their challenge and won! I am amazed because I am not a colorist, is that a word? LOL! I ordered 4 more digis and I get to be the GDT for the next challenge! Below is the winner...

This is the the one I have entered for the current challenge:

These cards are where it all began for me! Lightbox embossing using templates. I love doing it! It's a lot of paper piecing and cutting but I loved playing and making paper dolls!

The last two cards are some fun ones for some fun people!

I hope you all have a blessed weekend filled with relaxing and enjoying!

Blessing,
Mimi

Rainy Day in Indiana

Hi my Fellow Stampin' Peeps!!!

I wanted to pop on and show a couple of projects I have been working on. Two were for challenges and one just for fun!

Here are the just for fun:

These are quilt cards and I am really enjoying making them! I am using last years Carta Bella from Scrapbooking With ME patterned paper and ephemera!

This next one is from this past weekends School Days Challenge with Scrapbooking with ME:

Again my paper is from a monthly kit from Scrapbooking with ME! I absolutely loved the paper and didn't want to use it! Changed my mind since it really went well with the pictures of my Mom's!

The last is for a challenge Create-ful Heart Cards. Mary Smith is the artist for all the digi stamps! I loved this one because it was a Robin, Australian Robin, I had know idea what they looked like I assumed it looked like our American Robins but boy was I wrong! So I studied them and hopefully caught the look close enough! I also asked if she had any fox digi stamps and she did not so she drew one right up for me! It is now in her Etsy shop and so adorable! It will join my collection soon!

I am enjoying being back in my studio and I enjoy doing the challenges! SWME has several challenges! I am not sure I will make the monthly one this month because my cooking paper is still in Maryland and the challenge is to make a cookbook! I try to do all of the others and really you should too! In my opinion of course! To see what they are look at my previous blog post. They have added one since that post and it is called Flood the Wall Friday! I am working on my things to flood it with!

Create-ful Heart Cards is a new one to me but I believe they have two a month and you must use one of their digi stamps. I will add the blog at the bottom of this post!

I hope you are all having fun creating today and everyday! Until next time!

Blessings,
Mimi

Laces, Trims, Scrapping Items for sale, and more Laces and Trims!

Hi my Paper-crafting Peeps!

Today I want to highlight one branch of Miss E's businesses. Miss E and Cindy Rozek started "Lighthouse Stop 'n Shop" to sell laces, trims, and other items you might want to sell.

Cindy has the best laces and trims out there. I have never been disappointed in my purchases! I love my laces and trims!

Others can place items for sale on the site as well, I have! It is mostly stamping, paper, embellishments, and items people have made.

Here is an example from my friend C who has some items up for sale:

Of course these items are not available because, well, I bought them! She has 52+ items up. There is a rumor that T will be doing a BIG de-stash very soon as she has no room left to craft! Here is proof!

Here is the link to the Facebook shop: (the link is also in my favorites at the top right of this page)

Be sure to stop by and look and shop! I tell you it will be worth it!

I will leave you today with this Crafter's poem:

Oh Lord I Bring This Offering to You...

I can't believe how long ago since I have updated my blog! So much has happened in the past seven months that I can't even express it here except to say that all I have been through I have offered over to my King of Kings.

He has brought me so far and never let go of me...sometimes He walked beside me, sometimes He held my hand, and sometimes He carried me. He was with me in my darkest of times and is still with me as I am coming out of those deep dark places.

There were so many days that I could not get out of bed let alone touch a piece of my beloved paper :)  Day by day He lifted me and helped His JOY come out of me.

There have been many life changes too! My kids in Las Vegas accepted a job in Maryland! It seems that we all just came through a whirlpool as it happened so fast! I moved in with them in January of this year and now we are in Maryland seven months later! A little overwhelming for the girls and Mom and Dad at times but through all that I saw God holding them and walking them through the process. Today they close on their new home in Maryland, Monday my Son in Law starts his new job, and we wait to hear from the movers as to when they will grace us with all their belongings and mine! Exciting times!

My Daughter and Son In Law in Dallas are expecting their second sweet baby, a boy (my first grandson!), in October! They showed patience and obedience to God for 12 years before our sweet EmaCate was born almost 2 1/2 years ago! God took them to the edge on this little boy as well...they threw out a fleece that if they were not expecting by December 2016 they would give away all their baby stuff...well the first part of January they found out that God was faithful yet again! When I was visiting in March we learned the sex and this Mimi got to see baby boy being very active in his Mama's belly! I have learned much from them. Patience and giving it all over to God daily are the biggest things! I am still not good at either of them I work on it daily!

This Mama is so proud of the godly women, wives, and Mama's my two precious gifts God gave me over 30 years ago! My heart sometimes burst with love for them! Oh! and the precious grand babies they have given this Mimi...no words to express. I could not have picked better Son in Laws either!

I have one more BIG step God is making me take and as of Labor Day weekend I will finally be going home. I have missed so much about Indiana and now is the time for me to come home and start new. I will be 9 hours from Shad, Krissie, Emery, Falyn, and Grayson (cat) and 13 hours from Chris, Stephanie, Emalyn (EmaCate), Baby Boy, Milo and Catch (2 cats).

With God and the counselors He brought and will bring to me I will be mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually healthier. God has placed many supportive old friends and many new friends, some whom I have never met face to face, in my path over the past seven months. I have new friends who have dressed me, showed me I am beautiful, I am worthy of pretty clothes and makeup. I have had friends who have told me over and over that I am a child of God. I have had friends who have help me build my confidence up all over again. I have learned to set boundaries and truly listen to what God wants from me and for me. He is in the process of healing me and leading me. I just need to listen! LOL!

With God's help Jim and I have reconciled. We must be Faithful and Obedient to our Heavenly Father I know I cannot do it with out Him!  So many things on both our parts have and still have to change. Our new "fun" words are "Baby Steps". So much water has gone under our bridges we are working on trust and forgiveness, true deep only God can do, trust and forgiveness.

We have one request of all our wonderful family and friends and that is to please let us do this privately...just God, Jim, and I. I understand everyone's concern comes from love for us and for that we are both truly grateful. We need to build a solid foundation and only God can do that so help us allow Him to do His work. Our main goal is to glorify God no matter what. We will be seeking godly counsel with our Pastors, people who have walked this road before us, and counselors we know we can't do this completely alone. We also covet your prayers as there will be times we will not know what or be able to pray as we move through this process.

Whew! That was hard and exhausting for this Mimi. I know it needed to be done as I have been absent is so many ways these past few months. It is also hard to say these things over and over and much easier to say it here once.

Have no fear I am on my way back! I will have my own room to call my own. I will be working on my videos in all my goofiness! I will be re-building my YouTube channel. I will be a paper pusher again with sharing tutorials, hauls, and video's from my favorite "Paper" family SWME! I will be partaking in the SWME challenges. I will be making TONS of thank you cards as I am so far behind and owe so many of you my thanks. I can't wait to get all my SWME goodies and my Stash in the same place!

I will also be selling cards, mini albums, and doing scrapbooking for others and myself. I will begin taking orders after Labor Day and get my room to my liking LOL!

I will also be going back to crops! I already have a crop I will be going to with my BFF Lynn in September...oh how I have missed those crops!

I want you all to know how much I love you and how much your Heavenly Papa loves you even more. You are my rocks given to me by the biggest rock there is...God.

Have a Blessed Weekend and remember You Are A Child Of God!

Life Happens,Things Change, and God is Everlasting...

Life Happens,Things Change, and God is Everlasting...

Boy just when you think you are ready to jump right back into life, life hits you hard!

I am still moving forward, standing still, and waiting on God. He know the whole plan I can only see an extremely small part of it and that is hard to handle sometimes!

Emmie and I are still enjoying our time with my grand daughters, Emi Roo (Emery) and Falyn Bo Balyn (Falyn), my daughter and son in law.

I took a trip to see the sweetest little 2 year old, EmaCate (Emalyn Cate), my oldest daughter and son in law. Planning another trip sometime late Summer hopefully but for sure in October!

We still enjoy the warm weather although the nice warm weather is slowly turning into the nasty warm weather that takes forever to go away (just my opinion). I am missing home (Indiana) and all the stormy weather which is my favorite. I am here for a reason and will look for the Joy in everything. God knows my desires and my dreams.

As far as my paper crafting it has been slow going...I am starting to climb back into my wonderful paper world! I have so many things I want to make and need to make. I will get there!

There are so many awesome things happening in the Scrapbooking With ME world that I know I will forget to tell everything! If you are not a member of their Facebook pages you NEED to be!!! There you will find all the good news.

The big thing is SWME is going on a Scrapbooking cruise in September!!!! Below is the link to the information.

Thy will be done...

Thy will be done...

This is my new motto for 2017. Today marks my 2 weeks living away from Indiana and 1 month of the beginning of my new journey!

I have learned a lot about myself...I am stronger than I thought...I am not alone...so many more blessings than not...and my Heavenly Papa is working behind the scene and His plan is in the works!

Emotionally I have been moving slowly taking one day at a time. Sometimes one second at a time. I am making progress back into my old normal and learning how to incorporate it into my new normal.

Emmie and I  are enjoying the warmer weather even if this is not where I want to be. Oh don't get me wrong I am loving being with my daughter, son in law, and grand daughters just never thought I would be back in Vegas...not my fav!

We go on walks and I talk to my Heavenly Papa and she does her business and sniffs every rock, tree and bush! LOL!

I am also finally getting into my papercrafting again! Oh how I have missed it...still trying to figure out the whole video thing but that will happen in time.

I am so in awe of the support from everyone especially my SWME sisters! They have picked up my load and carried it while allowing me to start healing. So now I start nagging and telling you if you are not a part of their two Facebook pages you NEED to be! I will be adding all their info to my blog as soon as my brain can remember how! LOL! In the meantime here is their info:

Scrapbooking With ME Members Room-Facebook page 1
Scrapbooking With ME Boutique-Facebook page 2
www.scrapbookingwithme.com-Online Store
www.scrapbookingwithme.blogspot.com-(Edith's (E) Blog)

Please ask to join and check them out! Great product, Great prices, Great challenges, Great fun, and Great people! Can you tell I love them and think they are Great! LOL!

Today my goal is to "catch-up". "Catch-up" on my bible study, on my Scripture journal with MayMay, on my recipe cards from past challenges, on baby books, on mini albums, watching YouTube video's (Craft with TE, Scrapbooking With ME {Miss E}, Christine Beebe's,  and MayMay Made It {to name a few}) and anything else that may pop up!

My parting words...always and forever..."Thy will be done..."

2017 - My Year of Journey's

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

2017 started out with God choosing a new journey for me. I am safe...I am scared...I am loved...I am strong.

This page as well as my Facebook page, YouTube page under the name of Papercrafting With Mimi have been removed.  New ones are all under construction and as soon as I get moved (1,000+ miles away) I will be back up and running with my head down and my eyes focused upward!

My Heavenly Papa has all of this under control and He has opened doors and provided for me all the way. I am not saying it is easy or that there is not anger or hurt along the way however He is with me and knows the end result.

I will so VERY much all my friends in Indiana and it has been such an emotional time that was not in my plans but I know I will be stronger for it!

Silver linings? My fur baby is on this journey with her Mama (Me), I will get to be the best Mimi I can be and I will get to be a better Mom to my girls, who are my rocks.

I don't know where I will end up only God does...my job is to soak myself in His Word and work on healing me. One thing I have learned is I am responsible for my own actions and re-actions and my choice is to have everything I do Glory God as best as I can.

My new pages are: Facebook-Papercrafting With Mimi @emefalema3, YouTube-Papercrafting With Mimi and then my blog is Papercraftingwithmimi-1.blogspot.com

For safety reasons for myself and my family and friend please feel free to contact me here and or on my Facebook page.

My move is coming up so I probably won't be back here or have any YouTube video's up for a couple of weeks...I will be back and stronger than ever.

I do covet your prayers for safe travels, my health to stay where it is now...at least until I get to where I am going...I love you all and more important God loves you all no matter what...we are all covered under God's Grace!

Blessings,
Mimi
