Layouts, Cards, Baby and More

Hi to my Fellow Stampin' Peeps!

Today is my honey's birthday! We are now the same age for the next 25 days then I become the older woman again! LOL!

Fall is in the air. We went down to the river to do our Bible study yesterday after running some errands. They had a swing, which is my favorite, the breeze was cool, the sun was warm and the Word was good.

SWME had two challenges last weekend one was a scrapbook double page layout and one was something that had to do with apples. The layout had to be Fall and we had to use the sketch they gave us. Below are the two items I came up with. All the patterned paper came from SWME as well as some of the embellishments and everything else was from my stash!

I spent most of the week making card kits to take with me on a a quick trip in a couple of weeks to TN. I am going to spend some time with my friend who lives there. Jim is going to be in Paintsville, KY with his family and kids, then my honey and I are going to take a couple of days to disconnect from the world and reconnect with each other in Pigeon Forge, TN! LOL!

The most exciting thing that happened this week is the birth of my grandsom, Brecken Josiah, 9/28/17, 6 lbs 12 oz, 20". He had a little trouble breathing and was in the NICU for a few hours but he is doing GREAT now! This Mimi can't wait to meet him. I now have four grand children 3 girls and 1 boy and they all have my heart...I always heard that being a grand parent was better than being a parent...that is truth!!!

The next few weeks Jim and I will be preparing for a craft fair at out church. I love doing craft fair's but boy do you work hard up to it! LOL!

The Lord has blessed us in so many ways that we could never have fathomed. My quiver is full, our talents are glorifying, our needs are met, and even some of our wants are given to us.

I will share some of out items that are being made through the next few weeks. Thank you for reading...videos are coming soon (I know I keep saying that but we have been met with little blips) all in God's timing!

Blessings,
Mimi

Cards, Cards, and More Cards!

Hi my Fellow Paper-crafters!

This week has been for the "Cards"! LOL! I have a lot of cards to send out and to catch up on and I am doing it all without my beloved Art Glitter Glue and my ATG Tape Runner and Tape! They are still in Maryland! Hopefully they will be mailed in the next couple of weeks and most everything will be right with this paper-crafter! One of these days maybe all my things will be back home with me!

Remember my bird card? The one with the digi stamp from Creatful Hearts Digis & Designs? I entered it into their challenge and won! I am amazed because I am not a colorist, is that a word? LOL! I ordered 4 more digis and I get to be the GDT for the next challenge! Below is the winner...

This is the the one I have entered for the current challenge:

These cards are where it all began for me! Lightbox embossing using templates. I love doing it! It's a lot of paper piecing and cutting but I loved playing and making paper dolls!

The last two cards are some fun ones for some fun people!

I hope you all have a blessed weekend filled with relaxing and enjoying!

Blessing,
Mimi

Rainy Day in Indiana

Hi my Fellow Stampin' Peeps!!!

I wanted to pop on and show a couple of projects I have been working on. Two were for challenges and one just for fun!

Here are the just for fun:

These are quilt cards and I am really enjoying making them! I am using last years Carta Bella from Scrapbooking With ME patterned paper and ephemera!

This next one is from this past weekends School Days Challenge with Scrapbooking with ME:

Again my paper is from a monthly kit from Scrapbooking with ME! I absolutely loved the paper and didn't want to use it! Changed my mind since it really went well with the pictures of my Mom's!

The last is for a challenge Create-ful Heart Cards. Mary Smith is the artist for all the digi stamps! I loved this one because it was a Robin, Australian Robin, I had know idea what they looked like I assumed it looked like our American Robins but boy was I wrong! So I studied them and hopefully caught the look close enough! I also asked if she had any fox digi stamps and she did not so she drew one right up for me! It is now in her Etsy shop and so adorable! It will join my collection soon!

I am enjoying being back in my studio and I enjoy doing the challenges! SWME has several challenges! I am not sure I will make the monthly one this month because my cooking paper is still in Maryland and the challenge is to make a cookbook! I try to do all of the others and really you should too! In my opinion of course! To see what they are look at my previous blog post. They have added one since that post and it is called Flood the Wall Friday! I am working on my things to flood it with!

Create-ful Heart Cards is a new one to me but I believe they have two a month and you must use one of their digi stamps. I will add the blog at the bottom of this post!

I hope you are all having fun creating today and everyday! Until next time!

Blessings,
Mimi
